Assessments and Evaluations:

Postural Integration – This refers to the ability to assess the positioning and dynamics of body parts in relation to one another. It also involves evaluating movements—whether they occur or not—which provides valuable information for creating a treatment plan. For example, a tight right shoulder girdle affecting the left side can alter the dynamics of the cervical spine. This type of assessment can apply to other areas of the body and will influence the treatment plan.

Biomechanical Evaluation – This involves a detailed analysis of gait, focusing on the positioning and function of the foot and ankle, knee, right hip, ilium, and lower back. These assessments are conducted both visually and with video equipment. The resulting evaluation of these movements helps form an appropriate treatment plan.

Movement Evaluation – This involves evaluating the strength of each body part, assessing how muscles function in terms of strength or weakness, and understanding how these dynamics contribute to pain or dysfunction. This evaluation, along with postural and biomechanical assessments, helps inform the development of the treatment plan.

Mackenzie Approach – This method is typically used to assess nerve-related symptoms in the cervical and lumbar spine. The Mackenzie Approach focuses specifically on flexion and extension, with a tailored treatment plan based on the responses observed during the evaluation.

Neuro Tension – This is an active and comprehensive nerve pathway test used to assess leg or arm pain, as well as neck or lower back pain. It’s most commonly applied to the arm and leg. Nerve entrapment, whether from the fascia-muscle system or a disc-related issue, can be identified, and a specific treatment plan can be developed based on this assessment, in addition to the other tests.
